Review

Journal of Karya Health Science aims to share current, high-evidence, ethical principles with the scientific world, to contribute to the field and to shed light on new studies to be carried out in every field of health sciences.

Journal of Karya Health Science includes health sciences such as nutrition and dietetics, child development, speech and language therapy, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy and rehabilitation, gerontology, audiology, health management, social services, sports sciences, basic and clinical medical sciences. It publishes research articles, case reports, reviews and letters to the editor in the field.

WRITING RULES
Journal of Karya Health Science does not indicate that the submitted article has not been published elsewhere, all authors agree with the submission, the institution, organization, laboratory, etc., where the study was carried out. It acts on the assumption that the final version of the article is tacitly or expressly approved by the responsible authorities and by all authors.
ETHICS
Journal of Karya Health Science; It is based on the guidelines of the International Council of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Commission on Publication Ethics (COPE) prepared as a guide for authors, reviewers and editors.
The author(s) are obliged to read the content of the "Ethical Policy and Publication Policy". The corresponding author is responsible for the final version of the manuscript on behalf of all authors. Scientific, ethical and legal responsibility of the articles belongs to the author(s) (http://www.icmje.org/about-icmje/faqs/conflict-of-interest-disclosure-forms/).

BASIC RULES
The article should be uploaded to the system with the name and surname of the corresponding author.
All authors in the article must obtain an individual ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) number from http://orcid.org and indicate this number on the title page of the manuscript. The corresponding author must add all authors to the DergiPark system when submitting their article.
The article should be prepared in “Microsoft Word” format, double-spaced, in “Times New Roman” font, 12 point size, without any spaces between the lines and with the line number continuing on each page. Pages should be numbered from the abstract page. 2.5 cm margins should be left on all sides of the page (sample article template is available on the journal website).
"System International" (SI) units should be used in the article.
Figures, photographs, tables and graphics should be mentioned at the end of the relevant sentence where they appear in the text.
Abbreviations should be given in parentheses at the first occurrence of the word.
Dot (55.78) should be used in decimals.
TYPE OF ARTICLES
Research Article
These are manuscripts that cover all kinds of experimental and descriptive studies. The abstract (maximum 350 words including the titles of objective, method, results and conclusion in Turkish and English) should consist of Introduction, Method, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, References sections. Word count is 6000 (excluding abstract, references and tables); the number of tables, figures, photographs and pictures is 6 in total; The number of sources should not exceed 40.
Review
Manuscripts submitted by invited authors are accepted. It should consist of Abstract (maximum 300 words in Turkish and English, without any title), Introduction (sub-titles on the subject) and References. The number of words should not exceed 7000, the number of references should not exceed 60.
Case Report
Case reports are manuscripts which are combined with clinical experience supported by images (photographs, figures, etc., ). These cases are rare or they include different in diagnosis and treatment. It should be arranged as Abstract (maximum 200 words in Turkish and English without any titles), Introduction, Case Report, Discussion, Conclusion, References. Word count is 4000; the number of tables, figures, photographs and pictures is 5 in total; The number of sources should not exceed 20.
Letter to Editor
These are the manuscripts that contain the different opinions, experiences and questions of the readers about the articles published in the Journal of Karya Health Science in the last year. It should not contain Title and Abstract. It should be stated to which article (number, date) it is dedicated, and the name, institution and address of the author should be included at the end. The answer to the letter is given by the editor or the author(s) of the article by publishing it in the journal. The number of words should not exceed 500 and the number of references should not exceed 5.
SECTIONS OF THE ARTICLE
Title Page
The title page must be loaded as a separate page.
The type of the article (research, review, case report, etc.) should be specified.
The title of the article should be written in capital letters, clear, short and describing the study in  English. Abbreviations should not be used in the title.
Author information should be written using full name and surname, numbered from 1 with a superscript, academic title, institution, clinic, department, city, country, ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) number and e-mail address. 
The name, surname, current address, e-mail address, accessible phone numbers of the corresponding author (GSM phone number must be given) should also be specified.
If there is a commercial communication or financial support institution (directly or indirectly) for the study, the authors; must state on the title page that he/she has no commercial relationship with the commercial product, drug, company used, or what kind of relationship he/she has, if any (consultant, other agreements, etc.).
The title page template
Abstract
Abstract; Turkish and English should be prepared as separate pages.
Keywords should be a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 words. Keywords should be separated by commas. Turkish Keywords should be given in accordance with "Turkish Science Terms" (www.bilimterimleri.com), English Keywords should be in accordance with "Medical Subject Headings (MESH) (www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/MBrowser.html). Turkish abstract and keywords and English abstract and keywords must be exactly the same.
Text
The text should be written in past tense. All terms to be abbreviated (even if used in “Abstract”) should be indicated first in the long form and then the abbreviation in parentheses.
The main headings in the text should be in capital letters and bold, subheadings should be in capital letters and bold, the first letter of each word should be capitalized and the first letter of each word should be capitalized and italicized.
“Statistical Analysis and Ethical Approval” sub-titles should be included after the main title of the method. In research articles conducted on humans, it should be stated that the research was approved by the relevant Ethics Committee and that the consent of the volunteers included in the study and institutional permissions were obtained. In research articles conducted on animals, it should be stated that the research was approved by the relevant Ethics Committee and the institutional permissions were obtained. In case reports, signed consent and, if necessary, institutional permission should be stated in the "Case Report" section.
Statistical results of the study should be given in the findings. The data should be presented as clearly as possible, clearly supported by tables, graphs or figures. The analysis results of the data set should be given in APA style. For the reproducibility of the study, the effect size of the measurement results should be calculated. The p values used for significance should be shown as <.05, <.01, <.001.
In the discussion, the conclusions drawn from the findings should be discussed and interpreted in the light of the current literature. Statistical results used in the findings should not be repeated in this section. At the end of the discussion section, the limitations of the study should be presented with the subtitle “Limitations”.
The conclusion must necessarily include the results obtained from the study and its contribution to the field.
Forms
The author contribution form, copyright transfer form and conflict of interest declaration form in the online article submission section must be uploaded to the system.
Plagiarism Report
The plagiarism report for the article (preferably Turnitin and Ithenticate reports) must be uploaded to the plagiarism report field in the submit online article section. The similarity rate should not exceed 20%.
Ethics Committee Document
The ethics committee document for the article must be uploaded to the ethics committee document field in the online article submission section.
Permissions
The author(s) must ensure that the figures, pictures, photographs, charts and other supplementary material in the article are original. If previously published, cited text, tables, pictures, scales and similar materials of others are used in the article, the author(s) is obliged to obtain written permission from the copyright holders, to include the evidence that this permission has been given when submitting their article, and to indicate this in the article. Legal responsibility regarding this issue belongs to the authors.
References
References should be numbered in order of passage, starting from the text of the article. References should be cited at the end of the sentence, just before the period, in Arabic numerals, using square brackets. When citing the author's name in the text, the first author's surname of the first author and “et al.” in English articles. should be accompanied by the abbreviation. For multiple and consecutive citations, the notation as [10-15] should be used. A comma should be placed between the references, and no spaces should be left before and after the comma.
If the number of article authors is 6 or less, all authors should be written. For articles with more than 6 authors, the first 3 authors should be written and "et al." abbreviation should be used. Journal abbreviations used for reference writing should follow the style used in Cumulated Index Medicus (www.icmje.org). In the list of references, only works that have been published or accepted for publication or that have a doi number should be included. Citation of unpublished observations and personal interviews should be avoided. If the books are very necessary, the source should be cited and limited to 2-3 books at the most. The author(s) are responsible for the accuracy of the references. Importance should be given to the synthesis of domestic and foreign resources. Reference writing should be according to the “Vancouver” system. In a Vancouver-style reference, the name(s) of the Author(s), - Title of the article, - Journal name (abbreviated according to Cumulated Index Medicus), - Year of publication, - Journal volume and number, - Page spacing must be given.

Tables, Figures, Graphics and Pictures
All tables, figures, graphics and pictures should be prepared on separate pages and added after the references. All figures, graphics and pictures used in the text should be named as “Figure” and tables should be named as “Tables”. The titles of the tables should be written clearly above the table, and the titles of the figures should be written below the figure. Abbreviations used in the tables should be explained under the table. Underline, overline and subheadings should be emphasized in tables. If the image is quoted from another publication, the print permission should be sent separately. Figures should be saved in a separate file with “jpeg” compression technique. Figures must be at least 9×13 cm in size and 300 dpi resolution.

It should aim to ensure that the published studies contribute to the literature and to be original. In addition, it should take into account the feedback received from researchers and practitioners and provide explanatory and informative feedback.

Relations with authors
• Editors should make a positive or negative decision in line with the importance, authenticity, validity, openness of the narrative, and appropriateness of the journal.
• Editors should take the preliminary evaluation stage unless the studies covered by the publication have serious problems.
• Editors should not ignore the positive suggestions made by the referees unless there are serious problems in the structure of the study.
• New editors should not change the decisions of the previous editor on the work unless there are serious concerns.
• Editors should make every effort to prevent possible deviations from defined "blind arbitration and evaluation processes".
• Explanatory and informative feedback should be provided to authors.

Relations with Reviewers

• Editors are obliged to implement the “Blind Arbitration and Evaluation Process” policies specified in the publication policies of the journal. Therefore, the editors should ensure that each article is reviewed neutral, fair and timely.

Quality assurance
• Editors should ensure that each article published in the magazine is published in accordance with magazine broadcasting policies and international standards.

Protection of Personal Information
• Editors are obliged to protect the personal data related to subjects or visuals in the examined articles and to refuse to work if there is no document about the consent of the subjects. Ethics Committee, Human and Animal Rights

Measures against possible abuse and abuse
• Editors; It is obliged to take precautions against possible abuse and abuse of duty. In addition to conducting a meticulous and objective investigation on the determination and evaluation of complaints about this situation, sharing the findings on the subject is among the editors' responsibilities.

Ensuring academic honesty

• Editors should take into account the convincing criticisms of the studies published in the magazine and take a constructive attitude towards such criticism. Complaints
• Editors; The author should examine the complaints from the referees or readers and respond in a descriptive and illuminating manner.

Political and Commercial Concerns
• The independent decision of the editors is not affected by the magazine owner, publisher or any other political or commercial factor.

Conflict of interest
• Editors; The author guarantees the completion of the publication process independently and impartially by considering the conflicts of interest between the referees and other editors.

Ethical responsibilities of the reviewers
• Accepting an article about the field of expertise only

Ethical responsibilities of the publisher
• Editors are responsible for all processes of articles sent to Karya Journal of Health Science. Within this framework, decision -making are editors without considering economic or political interests.
• The publisher accepts an independent editorial decision.

Publication policy
Publication Evaluation and Acceptance Process
Every article coming to Karya Journal of Health Science is first evaluated by editors in terms of writing, scientific value, originality, plagiarism and ethical. Articles that do not comply with these criteria are rejected by reasons without being taken into consideration. The appropriate articles are first examined by the Secretariat in terms of article writing rules. The text is then sent to the statistical and language editor according to its type. Field editors are appointed to the articles completing this process. Alan Editors send articles to two independent referees who are experts in their fields. The names of the referees and writers are mutually kept confidential. It is 5 days to inform the referees whether they will evaluate the letter sent to them. The evaluation period of the referees who agreed to evaluate the article is 15 days. This process is followed and carried out by field editors. If the arbitrator is not accepted, the field editors appoint a new referee for the letter. The two of the referees are included in the process of “publication” to the editorial board with the positive opinion and the field editor. The letter, which receives a positive negative referee report, is sent to a third referee and whether the article is published or not is determined in accordance with the third referee's report. The time for the requested corrections from the authors is 15 days. Authors are required to upload the desired corrections to the system via the Dergipark. The broadcast review process is concluded within an average of 3 months. All operations are carried out electronically. The editorial board decides which issue of the adopted article will be published. In the final checks performed during the layout of the articles accepted to be published, spelling and grammar errors can be corrected by the editorial board without touching the content of the article.

Withdrawal
The text may be withdrawn by the responsible author in the preliminary evaluation step.
The text cannot be withdrawn during the evaluation or publication phase.
After the article has been published, the authors are obliged to cooperate with the magazine editor in the withdrawal processes. The author (s), who wishes to withdraw a published article, is obliged to transmit the article name, the reasons for withdrawing the article, the reasons for withdrawal, with the wet signature of each author, via Kilichanbayar@gmail.com address. Editorial Board provides a return within 15 days by examining the withdrawal notification.

Charge policy
No fee is requested for the evaluation and publication of the articles. Writers are not paid for the articles published in the journal.

COPYRIGHT
By signing the Copyright License Agreement, authors agree that if their text is accepted for publication in Karya Journal of Health Science, it will be licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND) license. Authors also agree to transfer copyright of the text to Karya Journal of Health Science upon publication.

No fee is charged for the evaluation and publication of the articles.
